At a glittering ceremony held at The Dorchester Hotel in London, Dubai Duty Free’s Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Colm McLoughlin was honoured with the “Global BURJ CEO of the Year” award at the second BURJ CEO Awards, organised by CEO Clubs Network.Colm McLoughlin, who was accompanied by his wife Breeda, was presented with the “Global BURJ CEO of the Year” for his contribution to the retail industry and for his achievement as an influential leader in the duty free business particularly in Dubai Duty-Free for 34 years. McLoughlin said: “I’m absolutely delighted receiving this honour and I dedicate this to our team of staff and to our Chairman, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, for his continuous support throughout the years.”
The Burj CEO Awards honoured thirty (30) recipients including His Excellency Dr. Hage Geingo, The President of the Republic of Namibia who was named The Visionary African Leadership, while His Excellency Sadiq Khan, The Mayor of London was named Mayor of the Year. His Highness The Aga Khan received the Life Achievement Award, Mohammed Abdulla Shael Al Saadi, CEO-Business Development & Strategy Sector of Dubai Economy received The Smart Government Department award while Mariam Othman - Director-General of Rashid Centre for Disabled received the award for The Best Welfare Organization.
