Hyderabad : 85 Malayalee first , second and third year nursing students were asked to stay back in hospital for duty. They said the parents that the students need to undergo practicals but parents were worried. The students are not nurses but just students. The nursing college and hospital belongs to transport minister P. Ajay Kumar. The management hesitated to give leave for students. Transport minister, Mr. Sasidhran, Mr. Ganesh kumar MLA contacted CM kerala and the request was forwarded to Confederation of Telangana Region Malayalee Associations (CTRMA). CTRMA conducted the government and permitted them to go to Kerala. All the students reached their house a day before PM's 21 day quarantine declaration.
Government arranged all support to the students. MAMATHA NURSING SCHOOL , KHAMMAM. In another case Narayana college of nursing, run by Mr. Nararayana, former minister , AP. 63 nursing students were not allowed to go home. They didn't give leave even after repeated request. Parents contacted Shri. Ommen Chandy with the request.
Ommen chandy contacted CTRMA.
CTRMA contacted CMO, AP and placed the issue. CMO directed to send the students on leave. The same happened in 8 nursing colleges .
